For candidates to become members, or members to be in good standing, they must fulfill the following requirements:
- 80% overall attendance
- 66% attendance at all Technicals and General Meetings
- 4.0 credits of Community Service
- 6.0 hours of tutoring
- 10.0 hours of VITA
- Fulfill fundraising requirement
Current Cumulative GPA: 3.0 + Arrive on time, sign in, and dress appropriately (business casual means khakis or dress pants (or skirt), sweater, polo or button-down shirt, and shoes – no jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers). To make up a technical, attend an outside professional event, write up 1-2 paragraphs about the event and include contact information for verification and submit by email or to the mail file. You are allowed to make up two technicals.
In addition to completing 6 hours of tutoring and 10 hours of VITA over the course of the semester, all members and pledges must also complete 4 “credits” of community service.
Candidates and members must complete six (6) hours of tutoring over the course of the semester. Beta members tutor MGA201 and 202 introductory accounting students in The Louis A. and Kathryn A. DiBerardino Accounting Resource Center in Jacobs 322. Please sign up to tutor during times you are available on the Tutoring Schedules located on the Google Doc that is emailed out to everyone. The tutoring room is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. You must sign in on the Schedule in Jacobs 322 after completing your tutoring in order to receive credit. Failure to show up to your tutoring slot will result in a deduction of two (2) hours.
