Executive Board

The Executive Board is excited to serve Beta Alpha Psi’s Zeta Theta chapter for the 2018-2019 session! Check out their profiles below.

Vice President of Technicals

Alexa is a senior accounting major at UB. She’s been an active member of Beta Alpha Psi since the fall of 2017. She attended the regional meeting as well as the annual meeting. This past summer Alexa interned with Ernst and Young in New York City in their Financial Services Assurance practice. She has accepted a full-time offer for the fall of 2019. Alexa serves as a tutor at the Undergraduate Learning and Community Center. She is also part of the School of Management’s Honors Program as well as the University’s Honors College. Alexa is very excited to serve as this year’s Vice President of Technicals to help students make connections with a variety of firms to further their professional career.

Chapter President

Mike is a senior accounting major and has been an active member of Beta Alpha Psi since joining in the spring of 2017.  He has participated in the Best Practices Competition for our chapter at the 2018 Regional Meeting in Delaware, and attended the Annual Meeting this past summer in Washington, D.C.  Additionally, he interned at Tronconi Segarra and Associates, in Clarence, NY, the past two summers and was able to attend leadership programs for all of the Big 4 firms as well.  He has accepted an internship offer with Deloitte for this coming summer, following his senior year. His experiences as a Career Ambassador in the Career Resource Center as well as a Peer Tutor in the Undergraduate Learning and Community Center make him a great resource for all students.  Mike is very excited to serve as Chapter President and is looking forward to an incredible year!

Vice President of Candidates

Aiden is a senior in the accounting major and has been an active member of Beta Alpha Psi since fall of 2017. He attended both the Beta Alpha Psi Regional and Annual Meeting in 2018. He participated in competitions representing Beta Alpha Psi and his team won 1st place in PwC Case Competition and others. He also competed in CURCA Poster Competition and his team won Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Award of Distinction. He is looking forward to serving as Vice President of Candidates as well as VITA Committee Chair for the Zeta Theta Chapter this year.

Treasurer

Karl is in his senior year in the accounting program and has been a committed member of Beta Alpha Psi since the fall of 2017. He has participated in the PwC Case Competition among other cases and has attended the 2018 regional meeting in Wilmington, Delaware. He has an avid interest in tax and has become extensively involved in Beta’s VITA program as a reviewer in the prior tax season and as one of the VITA Chairs for the upcoming season. Karl is excited to continue his involvement in the Zeta Theta chapter as its Treasurer and looks forward to working with and helping chapter members and candidates in the coming year!

Communications Secretary

Robert is a senior in the accounting major and has been an active member of Beta Alpha Psi since joining in the fall of 2017. He has participated in the Best Practices Competition at the 2018 Regional Meeting and has also attended the Annual Meeting this past summer in Washington, D.C. This year he will also serve as a VITA Chair for the VITA Program. Robert is excited to serve on this year’s Executive Board as the Communications Secretary as well as the VITA Committee Chair for the Zeta Theta Chapter.

Corresponding Secretary

Beth is a senior accounting major and has been an active member of Beta Alpha Psi since the fall of 2017. She participated in the Best Practices Competition at the regional meeting this past year placing 2nd with her team and also attended the annual meeting. During the past year, Beth has been a tax intern at The Bonadio Group and a forensic and compliance intern at Johnson & Johnson. She is currently a remote Data Analytics Intern for Johnson and Johnson and she has accepted an internship with KPMG for the Summer of 2019. She is also a peer tutor for the Undergraduate Learning and Community Center and is a member of the School of Management Honors Program. She is excited to serve as your corresponding secretary and looking forward to a great year!

Reporting Secretary

Ben is a senior accounting major and member of Beta Alpha Psi since the fall 2017 semester. Recently, he attended EY’s Emerging Leaders Program and will be joining the firm as an Assurance Intern in Buffalo next summer. Ben has been a very active member of the Zeta Theta Chapter, competing in the Best Practices Competition at the 2017 Regional Meeting in Wilmington and also attended the 2018 Annual Meeting in Washington D.C. He is extremely excited to serve as your Reporting Secretary and looks forward to an amazing year! He also really likes dogs of all coats and sizes.
